Oxford Prison Hotel

This was a project set by my university course to rebrand an existing business for which I chose Oxford Prison Hotel (OPH) due to it's rich history. Once a castle, then a prison, and today a beautiful hotel, it was only right to link back to OPH's background story.

It was important when referencing the prison past that the branding, identity and signage didn't feel intimidating or like guests were actually staying at a prison. To do this, I created designs with small nods to prison stereotypes, such as the shade of orange, condensed font, copy writing, iconography, and more.
